Football Recap: Spring Valley Comes Up Short

Spring Valley fell victim to Blythewood and their airtight defense on Friday. They had to suffer through a 46-0 loss at the hands of the Bengals. The Vikings haven't had much luck with the Bengals recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Blythewood's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Braden Marye led the charge by rushing for 92 yards and one TD on only 11 carries. Chance Johnson was another key pass catcher, picking up 128 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Spring Valley's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Blythewood, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Spring Valley didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 44-0 defeat against Ridge View on the 3rd. As for Blythewood, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 42-38 loss against Lugoff-Elgin on the 3rd.
