Baseball Recap: Atascadero Comes Up Short

Atascadero lost against San Luis Obispo last Thursday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Greyhounds fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 4-3. The Greyhounds have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Atascadero saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Reid Gearhart, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. That stolen base was Gearhart's first of the season.

Atascadero's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for San Luis Obispo, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-7.

Looking ahead, Atascadero will challenge Pioneer Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The last four games the Panthers have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for San Luis Obispo, they will face off against Templeton at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
