 Clovis North is 9-1 against Clovis West since May of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success  on Friday. The Clovis North Broncos will be playing at home against the Clovis West Golden Eagles at 6:30  p.m. Clovis North's pitching crew has only allowed 3.5  runs per game  this season, so Clovis West's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
 Having struggled with three  losses in a row, Clovis North finally turned things around against Buchanan  on Tuesday. Clovis North skirted past Buchanan  5-3.
  Jocelynn Gonzalez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three  runs (all of which were unearned)  on five hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in four consecutive pitching appearances.
 On the hitting side,  the team  relied heavily on  Kiara Sipe, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances.
 Meanwhile, Clovis West came up short against Buchanan on Friday and fell  6-3.
 Clovis North's win bumped their record up to 17-7. As for Clovis West, they have  traveled a rocky road recently having  lost three of their last four matchups,  which put a noticeable dent in their 10-12-1 record  this season.
