Preview: Bronson Eagles vs. Bell Bulldogs

The Bronson Eagles will head out on the road to take on the Bell Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Bronson is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.

Bronson suffered their closest loss yet this season on Tuesday. They fell just short of Riverside Christian by a score of 41-39.

Bell suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Tuesday. They were beaten by Lafayette 66-35. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Bell has suffered against Lafayette since December 3, 2019.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Maddie Smith, who scored 12 points along with three steals. Smith is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Jodi Waddle was another key contributor, scoring four points along with ten rebounds.

Bronson bumped their record down to 0-9 with that loss, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 23.2 points per game. As for Bell, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season.

Bronson might still be hurting after the 47-24 loss they got from Bell when the teams last played back in December of 2023. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Smith, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten steals. Now that Bronson knows the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
