Baseball Recap: Compton Comes Up Short

Compton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 6-3 to the Cabrillo Jaguars. The Tarbabes were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Jaguars earlier this season, when they won 9-8.

Compton saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rafael Vicente, who went 1-for-2 with one run. Anthony Lopez also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Compton's loss dropped their record down to 8-12-1. As for Cabrillo, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-21 record.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Compton is set to square off against their familiar foe Long Beach Poly at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Cabrillo will take on rival Lakewood at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
