Baseball Recap: Hillsboro Takes a Loss

Hillsboro lost against Jackson back in March of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Hawks might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 8-1 to the Fighting Indians, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hillsboro saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Max Partney, who went 1-for-4 with one RBI.

Hillsboro now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Jackson, they pushed their record up to 5-3 with the win, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Hillsboro will welcome Parkway Central at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Colts have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.67 runs per game on average), something the Hawks will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Jackson, they will venture away from home to face off against Notre Dame at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
