Soccer Game Preview: Lake View vs. Big Spring

The Lake View Chiefs will face off against the Big Spring Steers at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Lake View is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last 14 games.

Lake View barely beat Andrews the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Lake View never let Andrews get on the board and left with a 3-0 win on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Chiefs, who have now won 11 games by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit Andrews with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Jeremy Zavala, Ulises Chavez, and Rob Engle.

Meanwhile, Big Spring didn't have quite enough to beat Estacado on Tuesday and fell 3-2.

Lake View pushed their record up to 15-1 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up three goals over those eight contests. As for Big Spring, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That lines up perfectly with their 4-12 record this season.

Lake View took their win against Big Spring in their previous meeting back in January by a conclusive 14-1. Will Lake View repeat their success, or does Big Spring have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
