Basketball Preview: Egyptian Pharaohs vs. Agape Christian Knights

Egyptian is 1-9 against the Knights since February of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. Having just played yesterday, the Egyptian Pharaohs will get right back to it and host the Agape Christian Knights at 7:30 p.m. on February 6th. Hopefully Egyptian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight on Monday.

Egyptian pushed their score all the way to 63, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were beaten by Crab Orchard 95-63. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Egyptian in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now lost seven in a row.

Despite their loss, Egyptian saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Brandon Plott, who scored 25 points along with seven rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. That was a full 39.7% of Egyptian's points, marking the fifth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Damarion Clark was another key contributor, scoring 26 points.

Agape Christian fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They came out on top against Shawnee by a score of 44-31 on Tuesday.

Egyptian has not been sharp recently as the team's lost 15 of their last 19 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-20 record this season. As for Agape Christian, they pushed their record up to 10-18 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Egyptian lost to the Knights at home by a decisive 53-39 margin in their previous meeting back in January. Will Egyptian have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other basketball content.
