Softball Recap: Orono Comes Up Short

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Wednesday as neither Orono nor Dexter made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Riots took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers. Riots fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Tigers since on Wednesday.

Orono's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Dexter, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Orono is set to take on their familiar foe Mount View at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Dexter will square off against rival Central at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
