Basketball Recap: Port Allen Takes a Loss

If Port Allen was feeling good fresh off their 78-44 takedown of Jefferson RISE Charter last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Port Allen Pelicans fell just short of the White Castle Bulldogs by a score of 64-61 on Tuesday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Pelicans came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 107th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 221st).

Port Allen's defeat dropped their record down to 13-7. As for White Castle, with the victory, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 9-12.

Port Allen has already played their next match, a 46-40 loss against Family Christian on the 7th. As for White Castle, they will face off against Assumption at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
