Baseball Recap: Wayne Takes a Loss

While it was Wayne who put the first runs on the board on Tuesday, it was Mount Michael Benedictine who put up more. The Blue Devils fell just short of the Knights by a score of 2-1. The contest marked the Blue Devils' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Wayne got a good showing from Gavin Anderson, who pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit.

On the hitting side, Wayne saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaxson Kneifl, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.

Wayne's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Mount Michael Benedictine, their record now sits at 4-6.
