Basketball Recap: Randle Tebo Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Duarte

Baldwin Park proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by 27) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 46-43 win over the Duarte Falcons. This was a revenge game for the Braves: when they faced off against the Falcons on January 14th, they had to take a 54-48 defeat.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Baldwin Park to victory, but perhaps none more so than Randle Tebo, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds. Eric Avila was another key player, putting up 14 points along with five boards and three blocks.

Baldwin Park is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-11 record this season. As for Duarte, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-15.

Baldwin Park will head out to challenge Sierra Vista at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sierra Vista will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something Baldwin Park surely won't give up without a fight. As for Duarte, they and Azusa will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played.
