Basketball Recap: Life Waxahachie Continues Home Dominance on Friday

Life Waxahachie lost to Venus back in January, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Life Waxahachie Mustangs took down the Venus Bulldogs 67-52. Given the Mustangs' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 262nd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 683rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Life Waxahachie's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 25-7. As for Venus, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 13-16 record.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Kennedale the next time they take the court. Life Waxahachie will host Kennedale at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Venus will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on February 7th.
