Preview: Sprayberry vs. Allatoona
The Sprayberry Yellow Jackets will head out on the road to square off against the Allatoona Buccaneers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
Last Friday, Sprayberry's game was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They walked away with a 4-2 victory over Oconee County. Four seems to be a good number for Sprayberry as the team scooped up a win with the same number of goals in their previous game.
They were led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Jean-Marcel Sylvain and
Eric Cruz, who scored all four of Sprayberry's goals. The pair have combined for a total of six so far this season.
Meanwhile, for the first time this season, Allatoona was forced to settle for a draw. They and Wheeler finished up their match with a 1-1 draw.
The victory made it two in a row for Sprayberry and bumps their season record up to 2-0. Allatoona's draw gives them a new season record of 1-1-1.
Sprayberry took their win against Allatoona in their previous meeting back in March of 2022 by a conclusive 4-0. Will Sprayberry repeat their success, or does Allatoona have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
