Baseball Game Preview: McCamey Badgers vs. Wink Wildcats

For the second straight game, McCamey will face off against Wink. McCamey will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Wink at 5:00 p.m. McCamey has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with four straight defeats, while Wink will come in with four straight wins.

McCamey came up short against Wink on Friday, falling 23-8.

For Wink's part, GUNNER VOYLES made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. What's more, VOYLES posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. He was even better at the plate, scoring four runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. He also hit a triple, marking his first of the season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on CAYTON NOYOLA, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jaime Ruiz, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

Wink's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.7 runs over those games. As for McCamey, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.
