Volleyball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Liberty

Liberty came tearing into Thursday's matchup with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Pittsfield Saukees by a score of 2-0. This was a revenge game for the Eagles: when they faced off against the Saukees last Saturday, they had to take a 2-1 loss.

The win didn't come easy: Pittsfield scored at least 19 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-22.

Claire Obert paced Liberty's offense, picking up 11 kills. Obert got some help from Weslee John and her 15 assists. Finally, Obert was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

Despite the loss, Pittsfield still got an impressive performance from Josie McClintock, who had 15 digs and two assists. With that strong performance, McClintock is now averaging an impressive 10.2 digs per game.

Liberty's victory bumped their record up to 18-9. As for Pittsfield, they moved to 12-7 with that defeat, which also ended their five-match winning streak.

Looking ahead, Liberty will face off against Griggsville-Perry at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pittsfield, they have already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Carbondale on the 11th.
