Basketball Preview: Tse' Yi' Gai Dine Warriors vs. Northwest Falcons
The Tse' Yi' Gai Dine Warriors will head out on the road to square off against the Northwest Falcons at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Tse' Yi' Gai scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They breezed by Ramah at home to the tune of 65-19. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Tse' Yi' Gai has managed all season.
Tse' Yi' Gai's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brienna Toledo, who scored 23 points. Another player making a difference was Alicia Ramon, who scored 16 points.
Even though Northwest has not done well against the Warriors recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Northwest sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 42-39 win over the Warriors. The win made it back-to-back wins for Northwest.
Tse' Yi' Gai has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. As for Northwest, they pushed their record up to 4-14 with that win, which was their third straight on the road.
Tse' Yi' Gai took their victory against the Falcons in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 by a conclusive 64-40. Does Tse' Yi' Gai have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Falcons turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
