Basketball Recap: Braden River Picks Up Sixth Consecutive Win

Braden River extended their winning streak to six on Tuesday, bumping them up to 7-2. They came out on top against the Booker Tornadoes by a score of 61-48. For the Pirates, this counts as revenge for the 65-40 victory the Tornadoes walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2024.

As for Booker, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-5. While losing is never fun, they can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 287th, while Braden River is ranked 75th).

Several Tornadoes players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Darius Behn, who posted 16 points. J.P Lattimore was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Braden River will take on Northeast in a holiday battle at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. The Pirates' defense better be ready for this one: the Vikings have averaged an impressive 57.8 points per game this season. Booker and Bayshore will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup will give the Tornadoes their first taste of in-conference action this season.
