Baseball Recap: Tuttle Extends Winning Streak to Five

Tuttle entered their tilt with McLoud on Tuesday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They never let the Redskins get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 games by seven runs or more this season.

Parker Madison looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since March 2nd.

At the plate, Tuttle let Dakotah Mallory and Carter Vanauken run wild. Mallory went 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI, while Vanauken went 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI. Those three RBI gave Vanauken a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Traylon Barnes, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Tuttle lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now launched at least two home runs in five consecutive matchups.

Tuttle's victory bumped their record up to 14-1. As for McLoud, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Tuttle will head out to take on Okarche at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for McLoud, they will challenge Bethany at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
