Basketball Recap: Spring Lake Gets the Win

Spring Lake posted their closest win since January 3rd on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 46-44 victory over the Whitehall Vikings. The score was all tied up 20-20 at the break, but the Lakers were the better team in the second half.

Despite the loss, Whitehall still got an impressive performance from Camden Thompson, who dropped a double-double with 29 points and 14 rebounds. Thompson has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more boards the last 46 times he's played. Brock Morningstar was another key player, putting up six points.

The win made it two in a row for Spring Lake and bumps their season record up to 14-10. As for Whitehall, their loss dropped their record down to 17-6.

Spring Lake has already played their next contest, a 63-44 victory against Oakridge on the 28th. Whitehall does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
