Soccer Recap: Metro-East Lutheran Takes a Loss

Metro-East Lutheran was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss. They lost 9-0 to the Marquette Catholic Explorers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Metro-East Lutheran of the 9-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Metro-East Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Marquette Catholic, they pushed their record up to 10-5-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Coincidentally, Metro-East Lutheran and Marquette Catholic will both be playing Althoff Catholic the next time they take the pitch. The Explorers will head out to face the Crusaders at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Knights will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
