Basketball Recap: Escalante Takes a Loss

Escalante was the 55-52 winner over Cuba when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Escalante Lobos took a 56-38 bruising from the Cuba Rams on Saturday. The defeat leaves the Lobos without a win on the season.

Escalante's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Cuba, they moved to 2-5 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Escalante and Navajo Pine will round out the year against one another at at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Escalante is facing Navajo Pine at the right time seeing as Navajo Pine is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Cuba, they will be taking part in a tournament against Ramah at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cuba will also cruise into their next match with the timing on their side: Ramah will have lost four straight heading into Thursday's game.
