Normal West put their dominant pitchers on display in the team's third consecutive shutout  on Friday. They blew past the Danville Vikings 11-0. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Vikings recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive  victory against them.
Normal West got a  massive  performance out of  Cooper Temples, who  went 2-for-4 with two  triples, two  runs,  and one  stolen base. Those  two  triples gave  Temples a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Sam McCully, who  went 2-for-4 with three  RBI, one  triple,  and one  run.
 They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Normal West  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 12  hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  got at least nine  hits in three consecutive  matches.
Normal West pushed their record up to 16-8 with the  win, which was their fourth straight  at home. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 12 runs. As for Danville,  they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 3-17.
 Coming up, Normal West will take on Maine South at 11:00  a.m.  on Saturday. The Wildcats are facing the Hawks at the right time seeing as the Hawks are stuck on  a  three-game losing streak. As for Danville, they will head out to  square off against Urbana  at 10:00  a.m.  on Saturday. The Tigers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.21  runs per game on average), something the Vikings will no doubt try to take advantage of.
