Football Recap: Celina Skates Past Kenton with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Celina). They blew past the Kenton Wildcats 70-35 on Friday. The Bulldogs not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since August 23, 2024 (when they won 55-13).

Despite the defeat, Kenton saw an underclassman step up: freshman Xavier Gammon threw for 498 yards and four TDs while completing 77.2% of his passes, and also rushed for 31 yards and one score. Those four passing touchdowns set a new season-high mark for Gammon. Kenton's leading receiver Maddux McFarlin was Gammon's top target yet again, picking up 173 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Celina's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Kenton, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-5.
