Basketball Recap: Itasca Comes Up Short

Itasca lost against Midland Classical Academy back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Wampus Cats had to suffer through a 58-27 loss at the hands of the Knights. The Wampus Cats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mariah Davis produced another solid effort shooting 67% from beyond the arc en route to 32 points in addition to seven rebounds and five steals for Midland Classical Academy. The matchup was Davis' fourth in a row with at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Allie Catalano, who posted three points and five boards.

Itasca's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Midland Classical Academy, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.

Itasca didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 54-28 loss against Springtown on the 21st. As for Midland Classical Academy, they have also already played their next contest, a 58-49 victory against Life Waxahachie on the 21st.
