Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Arvada). They simply couldn't be stopped on Monday as they easily beat the Aurora West College Prep Academy Spartans 62-13. The win continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Spartans: they've now won five in a row.

Arvada got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Taylor Dye out in front who posted six points along with ten rebounds and six steals. Arvada is undefeated when Dye posts five or more steals, but 7-10 otherwise. Lily Heck was another key player, to rack up 11 points and six steals.

Arvada was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.1 assists per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matches they've averaged 12.4.

Arvada's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-10. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 21.3 points over those games. As for Aurora West College Prep Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-15 record this season.

Arvada will take on Alameda at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Aurora West College Prep Academy, they will face off against Ascent Classical Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Ascent Classical Academy will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Aurora West College Prep Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
