Football Game Preview: Festus Tigers vs. De Smet Jesuit Spartans

The Festus Tigers will head out to take on the De Smet Jesuit Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Festus will come into the game with an undefeated record on the line.

On Friday, Festus made easy work of North County and carried off a 46-21 win. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by 25 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, De Smet Jesuit won against Vianney last Friday with 56 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The Spartans blew past Chaminade 56-21. That looming 56-21 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Spartans yet this season.

The victory got De Smet Jesuit back to even at 3-3. As for Festus, their win bumped their record up to 6-0.

Festus was taken down by De Smet Jesuit 42-13 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can the Tigers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
