Basketball Game Preview: Pepperell Dragons vs. Heard County Braves

The Pepperell Dragons will face off against the Heard County Braves at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Pepperell lost 56-36 to Model on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Dragons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 390th, while the Blue Devils are ranked 85th).

Meanwhile, Heard County waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They enjoyed a cozy 64-48 win over the Tigers.

Heard County pushed their record up to 11-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.8 points per game. As for Pepperell, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.
