Midlothian Heritage is a perfect 3-0 against Corsicana since October of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Jaguars will head out to square off against the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Midlothian Heritage is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 33 points per game this season.
If Midlothian Heritage beats Corsicana with 52 points on Friday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. The Jaguars blew past Poteet 52-20 on Thursday. Given the Jaguars' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 76th, while the Pirates are ranked 496th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Midlothian Heritage to victory, but perhaps none more so than Za'Ko Davis, who rushed for 173 yards and two scores while picking up 9.1 yards per carry. Davis is becoming a predictor of the Jaguars' success: when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns the team is undefeated (and 2-3 when he doesn't). Damar Robinson was in the mix as well, providing Midlothian Heritage with two touchdowns.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Midlothian Heritage was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 368 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 182 rushing yards in six consecutive contests.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Midlothian Heritage's defense and their three sacks. Jonathan Anderson Ii refused to say out of the backfield, picking up 1.5 sacks all by himself. He was another major factor on D, picking up 1.5 sacks, forcing one fumble, and making four total tackles (2.5 for loss).
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Corsicana duked it out with Kaufman on Thursday. The Tigers took down the Lions 35-17. The win was familiar territory for the Tigers, who have now won three matchups in a row.
Midlothian Heritage better keep an eye on Mark Brown. He was instrumental in Corsicana's win, rushing for 220 yards and three TDs while picking up 12.2 yards per carry. Those three rushing touchdowns gave Brown a new career-high. Another player making a difference was CJ Curry, who rushed for 73 yards and one score on only seven carries.
Midlothian Heritage's record now sits at 5-3. As for Corsicana, their record is now an identical 5-3.
Friday's game might be decided on the ground. Midlothian Heritage has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 225 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Corsicana struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 162.2 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Everything came up roses for Midlothian Heritage against Corsicana when the teams last played back in November of 2024, as the squad secured a 51-7 victory. In that matchup, the Jaguars amassed a halftime lead of 35-7, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
