Softball Game Preview: Nashua South Purple Panthers vs. Portsmouth Clippers

The Nashua South Purple Panthers will square off against the Portsmouth Clippers at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Nashua South has given up an average of 8 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Nashua South fell victim to Windham and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Jaguars, falling 11-0. The loss continues a trend for the Purple Panthers in their meetings with the Jaguars: they've now lost four in a row.

Meanwhile, Portsmouth was able to grind out a solid victory over Dover on Wednesday, taking the game 8-4.

Nashua South's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5-1. As for Portsmouth, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.

Nashua South beat Portsmouth 4-0 when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Will the Purple Panthers repeat their success, or do the Clippers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
