Basketball Recap: Providence Grove Comes Up Short

Providence Grove lost against Williams back in January of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Providence Grove Patriots fell 54-42 to the Williams Bulldogs.

Williams found their leader in freshman Malia Scott, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and ten boards. Another player making a difference was Mi'Keina Springfield, who posted six points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.

Providence Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 14-7. As for Williams, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season.

Providence Grove wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 49-48 win against Wheatmore on the 11th. As for Williams, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 48-32 victory against Cedar Ridge on the 12th.
