Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wake Forest). They put the hurt on the Knightdale Knights with a sharp 9-0 win on Friday. Given Wake Forest's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 118th, while Knightdale are ranked 431st) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Wake Forest's offense was hitting Knightdale from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. C. Evans led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Wake Forest has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-7-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 27 goals over those six contests. As for Knightdale, they dropped their record down to 4-15 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.
