Basketball Game Preview: Addison Trail Blazers vs. Willowbrook Warriors

The Addison Trail Blazers will venture away from home to take on the Willowbrook Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Addison Trail's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

On Tuesday, Addison Trail beat West Chicago 63-55.

Meanwhile, Willowbrook was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against Christ the King, falling 64-44. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 442nd, while the Gladiators are ranked 140th).

Addison Trail is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-12 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.0 points over those games. As for Willowbrook, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-19.

Addison Trail came up short against Willowbrook when the teams last played back in January, falling 65-60. Can Addison Trail avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
