Basketball Recap: Evergreen Takes a Loss

On Saturday, the Evergreen Plainsmen came up short against the Bellarmine Prep Lions and fell 49-42. The Plainsmen have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bellarmine Prep found their leader in sophomore Kyla Frazier, who to rack up 20 points in addition to seven rebounds and five steals. Frazier has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played. Melina Petramalo was another key player, putting up ten points along with six boards and three steals.

Evergreen's defeat dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Bellarmine Prep, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-8 record this season.

Evergreen does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bellarmine Prep, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 55-42 win against Monroe on the 25th.
