Lawrence was the 41-22 winner over Olathe South when they last played one another back in September of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Lawrence Lions took a 40-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Olathe South Falcons on Friday.

Max Armstrong continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Olathe South, rushing for 312 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 7.1 yards per carry. Lawrence will square off against Lawrence Free State at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Olathe South, they will take on Shawnee Mission East at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. That game will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Armstrong and Jack Reeves.
