Softball Recap: Central Takes a Loss

Central managed to slip by Stillman Valley the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Rockets might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 8-0 to the Cardinals, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Rockets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Central's loss dropped their record down to 9-14-1. As for Stillman Valley, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 22-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Central will take on Huntley at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Rockets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Red Raiders have averaged an impressive 9.9 runs per game this season. As for Stillman Valley, they will challenge Lutheran at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Crusaders have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.41 runs per game on average), something the Cardinals will no doubt try to take advantage of.
