Baseball Game Preview: Firebaugh Eagles vs. Chavez Titans

The Firebaugh Eagles will venture away from home to square off against the Chavez Titans at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Firebaugh has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since March 12.

Firebaugh blew Tranquillity out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Tuesday Tranquillity got their revenge. The Eagles fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Eagles have suffered since April 24, 2024.

Meanwhile, Chavez didn't have quite enough to beat Foothill on Monday and fell 8-7. The Titans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Firebaugh's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Chavez, their loss dropped their record down to 9-4.

Firebaugh took their victory against Chavez when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 10-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
