Cuero had won eight straight at home dating back to last season, but on Friday they bumped up to 9-1 to make it nine. They put the hurt on the Robstown Cottonpickers with a sharp 41-20 win. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Gobblers just coasted through the last quarter.
A big part of Cuero's victory came down to the chemistry between Jayce Guajardo and his top target Walker Dietze.
