Baseball Recap: Brandywine Heights Area Comes Up Short

Brandywine Heights Area blew Oley Valley out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Saturday Oley Valley got their revenge. The Bullets fell just short of the Lynx by a score of 4-2. The Bullets were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Lynx earlier this season, when they won 9-0.

Brandywine Heights Area saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dominick Tomasi, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double. Tommy Clark also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Brandywine Heights Area has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season. As for Oley Valley, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-6.

Coming up, Brandywine Heights Area will be playing in front of their home fans against Antietam at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bullets are facing the Mountaineers at the right time seeing as the Mountaineers are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Oley Valley, they will venture away from home to take on Bishop McDevitt at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
