Volleyball Recap: West Franklin Triumphs

The West Franklin Falcons beat the Pleasant Ridge Rams 2-0 on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Falcons.

West Franklin didn't let Pleasant Ridge take a single set, but it sure wasn't easy: every set was decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-22.

West Franklin's offense was headlined by Kaylee Williams and Greelie McMahan, who picked up five kills apiece. McMahan really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with seven. Sophia Steele controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

West Franklin's win bumped their record up to 8-13. As for Pleasant Ridge, they now have a losing record of 9-10-4.

West Franklin didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Baldwin on the 4th. As for Pleasant Ridge, they have also already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Osawatomie on the 4th.
