Basketball Recap: Jesse Hoskins and Jayden Hacker Secure Win for Leslie County

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Hazard, Leslie County was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top against the Oneida Baptist Institute Mountaineers by a score of 58-49. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Mountaineers, too.

Leslie County was led to victory by Jayden Hacker and Jesse Hoskins. Hacker went 5 of 12 en route to 22 points and five rebounds, while Hoskins went 5 of 8 on his way to 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tripp Brashear, who posted eight points and nine rebounds.

Leslie County's record now sits at 6-3. As for Oneida Baptist Institute, they moved to 5-4 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Leslie County and Tupelo Christian Prep will round out the year against one another at at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. Leslie County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 64.3 points per game this season. As for Oneida Baptist Institute, they will face off against Pineville at 7:00 p.m. on December 28th.
