Basketball Recap: Star City Skates Past Crossett with Ease

Star City won the last time they faced Crossett and things went their way on Friday too. The Star City Bulldogs breezed by the Crossett Eagles to the tune of 70-43. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 85th, while the Eagles are ranked 231st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Star City is also on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.8 points per game. As for Crossett, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Star City has already played their next match (against Warren), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Crossett will venture away from home to face off against Hamburg at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
