Baseball Recap: Five Straight Home Wins for Annville-Cleona

Annville-Cleona hadn't done well against Lancaster Catholic recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Dutchmen skirted past the Crusaders 2-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Dutchmen.

Noah Morcom made a splash no matter where he played. He tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Annville-Cleona pushed their record up to 10-7 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Lancaster Catholic, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-8.
