On Wheatland's side, Camryn Mickelsen was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Rylee Coates, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.
East's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-1. Those victories were due in large part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.6 runs per game. As for Wheatland, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.
East will head out on the road to take on Thunder Basin at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
