Baseball Recap: Benson Comes Up Short

Benson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 28th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 16-6 to the Omaha South Packers. On the bright side, the six- run effort marked the Bunnies' highest-scoring game to date.

Muhammed Mukhlis and Kaidyn Williams did some serious damage despite the final result: Mukhlis scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Williams scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-2. That run marked the first that Mukhlis scored this season. Amrion Pouncil was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.

Benson's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Omaha South, their record now sits at 5-3.

Coincidentally, Benson and Omaha South will both be playing Omaha Central the next time they take the field. The Bunnies will head out to face the Eagles at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Packers will play them later in the day, at 2:30 p.m.
