Basketball Game Preview: Carrabec Cobras vs. Valley Cavaliers

The Carrabec Cobras will head out on the road to take on the Valley Cavaliers at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Carrabec comes in on three and Valley on seven.

Carrabec hadn't beaten Forest Hills on the road since January 28, 2023 but that history sure didn't bother them last Thursday. The Cobras took down the Tigers 49-32.

Meanwhile, Valley humbled Old Orchard Beach with a 61-22 victory. The Cavaliers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 15 games by 21 points or more this season.

Valley's win bumped their record up to 15-1. As for Carrabec, their victory bumped their record up to 13-2.

Carrabec ended up a good deal behind Valley in their previous matchup back in January of 2025, losing 70-51. Can the Cobras avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
