Basketball Recap: Sioux County Takes a Loss

Sioux County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 58-18 loss at the hands of the Cody-Kilgore Cowboys/Cowgirls. The contest marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Loss or not, Sioux County got some senior leadership from Logan Monroe and Josh Perez. Monroe posted six points and nine rebounds, while Perez put up four points in addition to eight boards and five blocks. Those five blocks gave Perez a new career-high.

Sioux County's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Cody-Kilgore, their win bumped their record up to 8-6.

Sioux County has already played their next matchup, a 48-46 loss against Edgemont on the 25th. As for Cody-Kilgore, they will square off against Hemingford on Tuesday. Hemingford will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Cody-Kilgore surely won't give up without a fight.
