Lauren Winters and Lily Higgins did most of the damage at the plate: Winters went 2-for-4 with five RBI, one run, and one double, while Higgins went 2-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one double. Those five RBI gave Winters a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Becca Hinshaw, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Monday. They fell just short of Annawan-Wethersfield by a score of 8-7.
Kenlee Carlson and Mackenzie Peck did some serious damage despite the final result: Carlson went 3-for-4 with three RBI and one double, while Peck went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Biggsville West Central pushed their record up to 24-3 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games.
