Volleyball Recap: Walsenburg Takes a Loss

Walsenburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Crowley County Chargers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Chargers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in August.

Walsenburg started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 25-20, 25-12, 25-20.

Walsenburg's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Crowley County, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-7.

Looking ahead, Walsenburg will head out to take on Atlas Preparatory School at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. After both having extra time off, Crowley County and Holly will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
