Volleyball Recap: Saturday's Victory Is Schoharie's Eighth in Last Nine Outings

Schoharie had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Hoosic Valley Hawks on Saturday, sneaking past 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Storm have posted since October 22, 2024.

Several Hawks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Madison Davis, who had 17 digs and two assists. Isabella Schmidt was another key player, getting 14 digs.

Schoharie has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season. As for Hoosic Valley, the loss snapped their winning streak at three matches and leaves them with a 11-4-2 record.

Schoharie wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Berne-Knox-Westerlo on the 30th. As for Hoosic Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Berlin/New Lebanon on the 29th.
